The 2007 2nd Annual Austin Chocolate Festival Black Tie Dinner Menu. Guests enjoyed a 5 course gourmet Italian culinary experience, Flat Creek Estate wines, professional competition judging for 2 categories (Best Truffle and Best Chocolate Sculpture), and a special Fat Turkey Chocolate dessert.
1st Course - (guests will select one dish from the following three choices) º Insalata di Arancia e Limone - orange and lemon salad with mint and fennel º Scotta Dita - lamb chop with a balsamic vinegar reduction º Tomato all'Vongole - stuffed clams with tomato sauce
2nd Course º Fagiuoli all'Ucceletto - stewed white beans with tomato, and sage º Anitra Con Lenticchie - stewed duck with lentils and a cucumber salad º Oysters Brochette - fried oysters with a spinach salad and pancetta
3rd Course º Risotto al Tartufo Bianco - white truffle risotto with Parmigiano Reggiano º Gnocchi Fritto con Tomato Caprice - fried chili gnocchi with, basil infused olive oil, tomatoes, a balsamic vinegar reduction, olives and red wine salami º Cannelloni di Mare - cannelloni with crab and a fontina cheese sauce
4th Course º Vegan Strata Florentine - wild mushrooms, eggplant, spinach and oregano º Agnello Con Olive con Torne - lamb and olive stew with fava beans º Involtini di Pesce Spada - fish rolls with fried artichokes and prosciutto
